Thus goes the premise of “Swing Vote,” rather improbable, but not implausible. Yet suspending disbelief isn’t this film’s biggest problem. No, that would be its main character, ol’ Bud, who is one rectal toot away from being Larry the Cable Guy. A resident of Texico, New Mexico, Bud works as an inspector at the local egg factory until he’s canned, caught on camera quaffing a beer and knocking over a tower of fully loaded cartons. His priorities lie mostly with the Bud in a brown bottle and giving attention to his fishing rod.
